HELP US TO IMPROVE OUR INDUSTRY

Learning and growth is at the heart of what we do. It always has been. Because that’s what helps our people and business thrive.

In 2020, with the support of the Mayor of London’s Greater London Authority (GLA), we set up Makers & Mentors. Today, there are over 300 property industry professionals signed up.

Our unique partnership with the GLA shares several commitments. Improving equality and diversity in construction are two. As is creating more opportunities for those seeking a career in the industry.

We've collaborated with Freehold LGTBQ+ network and also the G15 Women's mentoring programme to help build a diverse network of mentors. We've an open door to potential collaborations - keen to build as diverse as diverse network as possible.

Keeping you up to date

Nurturing equality of opportunity

We hosted an evening with Freehold, an LGBTQ+ network for professionals in the property industry. Our guest mentee panellists James Manning and Lucy Golding told the room what they want from their future mentoring connections, and we heard from the experiences of Deputy Mayor Tom Copley and his hopes for a more inclusive city.

Supporting greater diversity

We collaborated with BAME in Property (now PREACH Inclusion) for an evening of making connections. We were joined by Fiona Fletcher Smith (L&Q) and Sarah Hayford (The London Collective) who shared their words of wisdom for the mentees who loved the encouragement to stand out and how trying to be anything you’re not doesn’t pay dividends in the long run (thanks, Sarah, for that pearl of wisdom!).
